Eventbrite Loses Bid to Escape Covid-19 Ticket Refund Lawsuit

Eventbrite Inc. will have to defend a proposed class action alleging the ticket seller refused to issue refunds for shows canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic because it didn’t show the buyers agreed to an online arbitration clause, the Northern District of California said.

The company didn’t provide evidence of what its online agreements looked like on the dates at issue, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said.
