Dunkin Wins Appeal on ‘Steak’ Breakfast Sandwich Ads

Dunkin’ Brands Inc. defeated a would-be class action alleging that the company deceptively marketed its Angus Steak & Egg Breakfast Sandwich and Angus Steak & Egg Wake-Up Wrap, under a Second Circuit ruling.

The company’s advertising wasn’t deceptive or misleading to a reasonable consumer, the court said. The ruling also limited the ability of district courts in New York to hear claims against out-of-state corporations.
