DoubleDown Casino Must Stop Selling Game Chips, Court Told

Plaintiffs who claim that DoubleDown Casino games are illegal under Washington law are seeking an injunction that would prohibit the company from selling its virtual casino chips anywhere in the U.S. until the case is resolved.

The motion, filed Thursday, asks the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington to certify two classes—one for the injunctive relief, and one for damages available under state laws. The proposed classes are otherwise identical, comprising anyone who, on or after April 9, 2014, purchased chips to play “DoubleDown Casino, DoubleDown Fort Knox, DoubleDown Classic, or Ellen’s Road to Riches.”
