Dating app Hily Corp. was hit with a proposed class action alleging it failed to properly inform users that it was collecting and storing their biometric data and how it was using it.
Hily unlawfully collected, obtained, stored, used, and disclosed users’ biometric identifiers and information, including facial geometry scans, without complying with the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Acts’s requirements, according to the lawsuit filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
