CVS Wage Deal Opponents Blocked From ‘Soliciting’ Class Opt-Outs

CVS Pharmacy Inc. and the pharmacists involved in a $9 million wage settlement won an emergency injunction in a California federal court blocking two proposed intervenors from encouraging potential class members to opt out.

The intervenors, who are plaintiffs in a separate wage suit, texted many potential class members a message saying a “danger” exists that the proposed settlement in Chalian v. CVS Pharmacy Inc. is “not in [their] best interests.”
