CVS Sees Revived Warranty Claim in California Over Water Flosser

A CVS Pharmacy Inc. customer won reinstatement of a proposed class action alleging the company violated California law by failing to provide warranty information prior to the purchase of water flossing machines, according to a state appeals court ruling.

Osiris Zamora sued CVS in 2017, seeking injunctive relief for a violation of California’s Unfair Competition Law. When Zamora purchased a WaterPik Water Flosser Ultra at a CVS store the package stated the product came with the manufacturer’s three year warranty, she said.
