Curb Mobility LLC, Taxi Butler BV, and Yaiks Inc. have been hit with a would-be class action alleging that they charge hidden service fees to riders whenever taxis are hailed using a booking device called “Venue Butler.”
The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania by would-be class representative Samuel Zakheim, alleges that Venue Butler funnels customers to rides processed by Curb, subjecting them to a $2.50 service fee without any notice.
