Costco, Sun Products Shed Laundry Detergent Deception Suit

Sun Products Corp. and Costco Wholesale Corp. shook off a laundry detergent false ad suit, as a New York federal court said the plaintiff failed to show he paid a price premium attributable to the product’s alleged portrayal as the detergent most recommended for sensitive skin.

No jury could find Shaya Eidelman was harmed by the alleged deception, Judge Nelson S. Román of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said Tuesday.
