A New Jersey couple sued membership warehouse retailer Costco Wholesale Corp. for allegedly taxing toilet paper, which is exempt from sales tax in the state (Taufield v. Costco Wholesale Corp., N.J. Super. Ct. Law Div., complaint filed 9/16/16).
Jacqueline Taufield and Robert Arnold of Leonia, N.J., filed the class-action complaint Sept. 16 in the Law Division of New Jersey Superior Court, in Bergen County.
