Coca-Cola Must Face Class Claims in Coke Label Deception Suit

Cola-Cola Co. must face class claims alleging it misled consumers by representing that Coke is free of artificial flavors and chemical preservatives, the Northern District of California said, finding common legal and factual questions.

Coca-Cola lists phosphoric acid in the ingredients list on Coke’s labels. However, George Engurasoff and others alleged the beverage giant didn’t disclose that phosphoric acid is an artificial flavoring and chemical preservative.
