A class action against the attorneys who filed a class action over condominium units at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas netted $3.6 million in fees July 8.
The attorneys’ fee award will be deducted from a $12 million judgment in favor of the class in the legal malpractice suit.
The fee award is justified because the suit “secured a near complete victory” for the plaintiffs, Judge Fernando M. Olguin of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California wrote in an unpublished opinion.
