Chicago Cubs, Wrigley Security Hit With Biometric Privacy Suit

The Chicago Cubs and companies that provide security services at Wrigley Field collect biometric information in the form of facial recognition without giving proper notice under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, according to a class suit filed in federal court.

Blue Star Security LLC; Security Services Holdings LLC, which does business as Protos Security; and Chicago Cubs Baseball Club LLC collected facial recognition information from Jill Lichte when she attended games at Wrigley on May 25 and Aug. 17.
