Bumble Trading Inc. failed to quash a proposed class action by users of its dating app stemming from its cancellation and automatic renewal practices.
The named plaintiffs may proceed with their claims under California’s Automatic Renewal Law, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said July 8.
The plaintiffs aren’t bound by a choice of law provision in Bumble’s terms of service selecting New York law, the court said.
