A fee award of $112.5 million to attorneys representing professional football players in the concussion class action against the National Football League was largely upheld by the Third Circuit Thursday.
The trial court acted well within its discretion in its fee calculation methodology and allocation procedure, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit said.
The award includes $51.7 million in fees to Seeger Weiss LLP, which took the lead in managing the case and communicating with the court as co-lead class counsel.
