Boston University Beats Students’ Covid-19 Refund Suit, for Now

A proposed class action against Boston University seeking a refund of tuition and fees for the spring 2020 semester after the school went online due to Covid-19 was tossed, for now, after the District of Massachusetts found none of the allegations are tied to the named plaintiffs.

The complaint fails to allege that any of the named plaintiffs had a reasonable expectation of in-person instruction and access to on-campus facilities and resources, the court said.
