Bayer Fends Off Class Certification in Suit Over Vitamin Label

Bayer Healthcare LLC can breathe a temporary sigh of relief after a federal court denied class certification in a suit claiming that the statement on its labels that Flintstones vitamins are “complete” is false.

The plaintiff’s motion for certification was denied because Judge John A. Kronstadt of the US District Court of the Central District of California deemed her to be an “inadequate and atypical class representative.” But Kronstadt added that another named plaintiff may be substituted.

Camille Cabrera was the named plaintiff when the suit was filed in 2017. In 2019, Sonnetta Woods was substituted in Cabrera’s place. The ...
