Banana Bright Eye Cream Causes Allergic Reactions, Suit Says

Kendo Holdings Inc. and its Ole Henriksen unit tout their Banana Bright Eye Creme without warning that the makeup base can cause serious allergic reactions, a new would-be class suit in federal court in San Francisco alleges.

The companies deceptively claim the product “can be applied to the entire eye area,” but numerous consumers have reported severe skin irritation such as itching, burning, hives, redness, and swelling, according to the suit. It was filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
