Atlassian US Inc. is facing a new class suit alleging it violated California’s Trap and Trace Law by installing software on its website that secretly collects visitors’ identifying information without consent.

Dana Hughes alleges Atlassian installed software, provided by Demandbase Inc., that uses browser fingerprinting to identify website visitors and correlate their data with external records to learn their identities. The lawsuit was filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
