Arconic Trims Claims in Renewed Investor Suit Over Grenfell Fire

Arconic Inc. is free of some securities claims related to a deadly London residential building fire after a federal judge in Pennsylvania dismissed parts of the complaint with prejudice, but other allegations can move forward.

Investors accuse the manufacturing company of misleading them about sales of its exterior wall cladding for unsafe uses. They fixed some of the problems with an earlier complaint dismissed in 2019, but other portions of the suit still can’t go ahead, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania said.
