A proposed class action against Education Testing Services and College Board over their administration of this year’s Advanced Placement exams has been stayed pending compelled arbitration of some of the plaintiffs’ claims, according to an in-chambers order by the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
The National Center for Fair and Open Testing, or FairTest, together with eleven students sued the AP test administrators alleging students had difficulty completing the exams due to technical issues, and claiming that they failed to provide adequate accommodations for students with disabilities or who lacked digital access.
