Another putative class action alleging deceptive retail pricing is moving forward in court, this time involving Coach, Inc. (Pattie v. Coach, Inc., 2014 BL 300564, N.D. Ohio, 1:14 CV 628, 10/24/14).
The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio rejected Oct. 24 Coach’s bid to dismiss the suit which alleges fraud and unjust enrichment connected to the coupon practices of the company’s Aurora, Ohio factory store.
A number of similar suits have been filed recently involving the pricing practices of other retailers such as Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors (see related story).
