US Urges G-7 Nations to Counter Any Coercion by China: Nikkei

The US has called on Group of Seven nations to take joint countermeasures if China engages in economic coercion against their partners, such as raising tariffs or restricting imports, the Nikkei reported, without saying where it got the information.

US officials asked members to put the issue on this year’s G-7 meeting agenda, the Nikkei said. At working-level talks within the group, Washington has already called for a joint response if China undertakes economic coercion, according to the report.
