Unity Software Inc. is considering options for its China venture, including a possible sale, according to people familiar with the situation.

The San Francisco-based 3-D games company is working with an adviser to gauge interest in Unity China, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing a private matter. Unity Software might aim for a valuation of more than $1 billion for the business, the people said.

Deliberations are ongoing and may not lead to a deal, the people said. A representative for Unity Software declined to comment.
