Santander Hires Citi, Goldman to Sell Down 13% Polish Stake (1)

Banco Santander SA has hired Citigroup Inc. and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. to help sell the remaining stake in its Polish unit, currently valued at 6.8 billion zloty ($1.9 billion), according to people familiar with the matter.

Spain’s biggest bank is considering selling some or even all of its 13% stake via book buildings over the coming months, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing an internal matter.

No final decision has been made and the exact timing of the potential disposal has yet to be decided, according to the people.
