The head of the Philippine Stock Exchange said “doomsayers” were reinforcing pessimism in the world’s worst-performing market, pushing back against claims that foreigners have lost interest to invest.
“There have been a few doomsayers pontificating on the moribund state of our stock market, citing poor liquidity, sellout by foreign investors and eroded investor confidence,” PSE President and Chief Executive Officer
“Unfortunately, these doomsayers constantly propound in public the problems they perceive in our market, thereby reinforcing the already negative perceptions of the investing public in our market,” he added.
