Osaka Bourse Plans to Study Listing of Crypto-Linked Derivatives

Japan’s Osaka Exchange Inc. is working towards a possible listing of futures and options tied to cryptocurrency-related products, according to the bourse’s president.

The derivatives exchange will conduct research on such products given high investor interest, President Ryusuke Yokoyama said in an interview in Osaka, in western Japan. The bourse plans to speak with Japan’s Financial Services Agency once the regulator’s working group discusses changes to crypto rules, he said, noting that nothing has been decided at this point.
