Millennium-Backed Fund Pamalican Hires Castillo to Lead US Push

Pamalican Asset Management Ltd., a hedge fund backed by Millennium Management that focuses on equity capital markets, is hiring Jose Castillo to lead its US expansion, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Castillo, who’s based in New York, will join the firm in coming months, said one of the people, who requested anonymity to discuss non-public information. He worked with Pamalican founder and Chief Investment Officer Jamie Goodman, a former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. partner, at Maven Investment Partners Ltd.

A Pamalican representative declined to comment.
