Man Group’s Convertible Bond Arbitrage Manager Song Departs

Gilbert Song, portfolio manager for convertible bond arbitrage at Man Group Plc, has now left the firm.

He departed after about seven years at the world’s largest publicly listed hedge fund, according to a person with knowledge of the matter who asked to remain anonymous because the information is private. A representative from the firm declined to comment.

Song, who oversaw around $700 million for the company, joined in 2017 from Greenwich, Connecticut-based Paloma Partners and Xaraf Management LLC. Before that, he was a trader at Severn River Capital and a mergers-and-acquisitions senior analyst at Broadview International, according to ...
