London Stock Exchange Backers Offload £1.5 Billion Stake

A consortium of investors including Blackstone Inc. is offloading shares worth more than £1.5 billion ($1.9 billion) in London Stock Exchange Group Plc, exiting a stake the group inherited when the bourse bought data services firm Refinitiv in 2021.

York Holdings, whose backers include Blackstone and affiliates of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and GIC Special Investments Pte. and others, is placing 17.3 million shares in LSEG, according to a statement Tuesday.

The selling consortium is made up of the former owners of Refinitiv, the firm that LSEG acquired for $27 billion three years ago.
