JPMorgan Hires 8 SVB UK Staffers as Part of Tech Banking Push

JPMorgan Chase & Co. has hired eight staffers who previously worked at the British arm of Silicon Valley Bank, as it looks to build out its offerings to startups.

The US lender said in a press release that it had appointed 17 bankers to expand its European innovation banking business. Eight of those come from SVB UK, which is now renamed HSBC Innovation Banking after HSBC Holdings Plc brought the unit.
