Grab Holdings Ltd. won federal court clearance of its $80 million settlement resolving investor claims about inadequate proxy disclosures in the runup to its 2021 special purpose acquisition company merger.
Judge Jennifer L. Rochon gave final approval of the ride and food delivery app operator’s accord Thursday, with one third of that sum allocated to class counsel in attorneys fees and almost $225,000 in reimbursement for their expenses. The US District Court for the Southern District of New York judge awarded each of the three lead plaintiffs $15,000, dismissing allegations with finality and ordering the combined cases closed.
