Goldman Sachs Names Hidehiro Imatsu as Head of Japan Unit

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. has appointed Hidehiro Imatsu as head of its securities subsidiary in Japan, as the island nation’s markets heat up.

Imatsu, 52, will become president and representative director of Goldman Sachs Japan Co. effective June 3, according to a release Thursday. He is currently based in Hong Kong serving as co-head of global interest rate products trading as well as co-head of the Asia Pacific fixed income, currency and commodities franchise.
