French Nuclear Fuel Firm Orano Mulls Share Sale to Fund Growth

French state-controlled nuclear company Orano SA is considering selling new shares to help fund billions of dollars of new projects such as uranium mining and processing as well as battery-material production, according to its new chief executive officer.

“We will probably use all the levers to fund new projects,” including “capital increases in some cases,” Nicolas Maes, who was appointed CEO this month, said in an interview at the World Nuclear Exhibition near Paris Thursday. “Development opportunities are taking place now.”
