EU May Pool Private Credit Data, Bundesbank’s Theurer Says (1)

European regulators are discussing sharing data on private credit firms to get a better picture of overall risks from the booming asset class, according to Germany’s central bank.

“We believe that in the European Union, we should have an exchange of data which is available already for regulators or oversight supervisors in each jurisdiction,” Michael Theurer, a member of the Bundesbank’s Executive Board, said in an interview, adding that the topic was under active discussion with peers.
