Autry Stephens Family Selling $2.2 Billion in Diamondback Shares

The family of Autry Stephens is selling about $2.2 billion of the Diamondback Energy Inc. stock received from the sale of the late Texas oil mogul’s company.

Diamondback’s acquisition of Stephen’s Endeavor Energy Resources LP for $26 billion in cash and stock was completed earlier this month. Most of the 12.8 million shares being sold in a secondary stock offering are held by trusts tied to the Stephens family, according to a US regulatory filing Thursday. He died in August, age 86.
