Credit Suisse’s Former Asia Chief Sitohang Joins OCP Fund (1)

Credit Suisse Group AG’s former Asia-Pacific head Helman Sitohang has emerged at a private credit fund in the wake of the embattled Swiss lender’s takeover by rival UBS Group AG.

Sitohang, who joined Credit Suisse in 1998 and ran Asia for eight years before he was named senior adviser in a shakeup last year, has joined OCP Asia, an investment manager specialized in direct lending, as partner and chairman, according to a spokesperson for the firm.

Sitohang didn’t immediately answer calls seeking comment. Representatives for Credit Suisse and UBS declined to comment.
