Citigroup to Name Veteran Marc Luet as Japan Country Officer

Citigroup Inc. is set to appoint Marc Luet, currently the US lender’s country officer for Australia, as its new Japan head, according to internal memos seen by Bloomberg News.

Luet will become Japan country officer on Jan. 1, replacing Lee Waite, according to the documents, the contents of which were confirmed by spokeswoman Lisa Shimizu. He will also serve as chief executive officer for the company’s Japanese securities and banking arms.
