Citigroup ECM Veteran Abrahimzadeh to Join Malik’s 1789 Capital

Citigroup Inc.’s co-head of equity capital markets for North America, Paul Abrahimzadeh, has left to join Omeed Malik’s 1789 Capital, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Abrahimzadeh, who is New York-based, will be a partner at 1789 Capital, an investment firm that added Donald Trump Jr. to its team late last year, and is poised to help originate growth equity investments and with the firm’s fundraising, said the people, who requested anonymity to discuss a move that isn’t yet public.
