BTIG Taps Maller, Wood as SPAC Investment-Banking Co-Heads

BTIG LLC named Andrew Maller and Paul Wood co-heads of SPAC investment banking as the blank-check industry grapples with plummeting deal volume.

Maller has worked with BTIG’s special-purpose acquisition company investment-banking group since he joined the firm in 2019, while Wood came aboard in 2020, according to a statement Monday. Maller had previously worked at RBC for eight years, and Wood spent 14 years at Citigroup Inc., according to the statement.
