After gaining fame for a series of popular Korean titles, the college dropout had founded his own company in 2013 but was finding it difficult to ensure his family and employees could put food on the table.
“I myself struggle to care of my own family,” he said in a 2015 interview with Korean outlet Edaily. “I don’t think I can be a good example for most ordinary people who want to be an illustrator.”
