Billionaire Seeks Nod for Share Sale After CCC Stock Triples (1)

Dariusz Milek regained billionaire status when his footwear and fashion business surged threefold in value last year. Now his bold vision and swagger face scrutiny from the company’s other shareholders.

Investors in CCC SA, which runs more than 1,000 shops across 23 European countries, are due to vote on Milek’s 1.4 billion zloty ($361 million) share increase proposal this month. The cash call, needed to buy out minority owners in the company’s e-commerce arm, is set to be the biggest new share offering in Warsaw since 2009.
