Barclays Names Krishna Equity-Strategy Head After Deshpande Exit

Barclays Plc has appointed Venu Krishna as head of US equity strategy after Maneesh Deshpande resigned from the role.

Krishna will continue to run coverage of equity-linked strategies, such as derivatives and convertible bonds, according to people familiar with the matter. Krishna joined the European bank in 2008 after previously working at Lehman Brothers Inc. and Citigroup Inc., according to his profile on LinkedIn.

In his new role, Krishna will provide macro analysis on US stocks, including giving forecasts for the S&P 500. His predecessor, Deshpande, expected the benchmark index to end this year at 4,500. That’s 15% ...
