ASX Touts Faster Listings, Index Offerings After Cboe Challenge

ASX Ltd. aims to encourage more listings by speeding up initial public offerings and broadening index eligibility, as Australia’s main exchange operator contends with competition from Cboe Global Markets Inc.

“We aim to be the venue of choice for Australia and New Zealand companies that are coming to market for the first time,” said ASX Chief Executive Officer Helen Lofthouse at a Citigroup Inc. investment conference in Sydney on Tuesday. The exchange also seeks to be an attractive venue for foreign companies looking to list in Australia, she added.
