Arm Names Ex-Groupon Finance Head Child to CFO Role Ahead of IPO

Arm Ltd. named Jason Child, former chief financial officer of Groupon Inc. and Splunk Inc., to the role as the British semiconductor designer prepares to sell shares on the stock market.

Child, who replaces Inder Singh, will join on Nov. 2 and will lead the Cambridge, England-based company’s finance and IT organizations, Arm said in a statement late Monday. Child oversaw Groupon’s initial public offering in 2011.
