Apple, Samsung to Invest in Arm as It Eyes Sept. IPO: Nikkei

Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. will invest in chip designer Arm Ltd. as soon as the company goes public in the US, the Nikkei reported, without saying where it got the information.

Arm, owned by SoftBank Group Corp., is planning to go public as soon as September and is targeting a valuation of at least $60 billion, Bloomberg reported earlier. The chip division seeks to raise as much as $10 billion.
