Abu Dhabi’s Adnoc Uses AI to Reduce Unplanned Shutdowns by Half

Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. has started to deploy artificial intelligence to vastly reduce sudden maintenance halts and to make production forecasts more accurate.

The firm has introduced more than 200 cases of AI across its operations, Chief Executive Officer Sultan Al Jaber said at the opening of the Adipec conference on Monday. They are helping to cut unplanned shutdowns by half, he added.
