National marijuana producer and retailer Trulieve Cannabis Corp. has reached a settlement with OSHA in a case where federal inspectors concluded that one of its workers in Massachusetts died from asthma “due to exposure to ground cannabis.”
The settlement released Thursday requires the company to begin a study to determine whether ground cannabis dust is required under Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations to be classified as a hazardous chemical and to complete the review by May 29.
