One of the best-selling US marijuana brands targets teens with highly concentrated products that can cause psychosis, a lawsuit alleges — the first major legal challenge to the cannabis industry’s impact on public health.
Stiiizy Inc.’s high-potency THC vapes can induce psychosis among young users, according to a complaint filed Wednesday in California state court. The case was brought on behalf of a minor who was a star athlete at 15 when he first experienced psychosis, including hallucinations and hysteria, after using Stiiizy products, according to a statement.
