San Francisco Mayor Aims to Fix City Finances Amid Trump Tariffs

San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie said he will focus on tackling his city’s budget deficit, as the Trump administration’s trade war threatens to disrupt the global economy.

“The uncertainty is impacting everybody around the globe, and so we have to plan for that here at City Hall,” he said Thursday in an interview on Bloomberg Television. “We can only control what we can control here in San Francisco, and that’s our $15.9 billion budget.”
