A statewide special election on redistricting ends tomorrow. Californians would be forgiven for thinking it’s already over.
Polls show a majority of likely voters support Proposition 50. The “yes” campaign, led by Gov. Gavin Newsom, is so confident it’s waving off donations, and most Republicans appear to have moved on. That’s left the “no” side ending with a whimper.
“The ‘no’ campaign has obviously pulled up short,” said Rob Stutzman, a Republican consultant.
